Lisa Kernan and Associates

The practice was originally established in 1960 by Pam Staines Chartered Physiotherapist.  Her daughter Lisa Kernan continued the practice from 1998. In  1999, Hydrotherapy,  a highly specialised  form of treatment was introduced as an additional service.

Lisa is a Physiotherapy graduate of Trinity College Dublin having also completed a degree in Sports Studies in the University of Ulster.   Lisa worked in University Hospital Lewisham, London,  where she attained Senior level in out-patients and Hydrotherapy.  She was also responsible for initiating and managing a Health and Fitness Programme for over 2000 staff members within the hospital.  She worked part time with the local Ankylosing Spondylitis group providing gym and hydro sessions.  On her return to Dublin Lisa had a senior post in Hydrotherapy in the Central Remedial Clinic along with other private practice positions.  Lisa re established her mothers practice in 1998, followed by the Hydrotherapy practice in 1999.
Lisa has completed advanced training in Hydrotherapy over the past seventeen years.  She is a member of the ATACP –Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists  and attends regular update courses in the UK.

A former competitive swimmer and coach, she brings a wealth of experience to both her Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy practice.  Lisa enjoys treating a wide variety of injuries and has a special interest in Spinal Pain, Hydrotherapy, Osteoporosis, Sports Injuries, Ante-natal and Post- natal care, Elderly care, Paediatrics and Health Promotion.

Chartered Physiotherapist

Siobhan is a practising chartered physiotherapist with over 20 years clinical experience. Having graduated from Leeds University in 1991 she worked in UK, Italy and USA gaining 6 years international experience in sports and musculoskeletal  injuries. On her return to Dublin in 1997, she established and worked in a busy city centre private practice for 13 years focusing in the area of sports injury, musculoskeletal, back and neck pain. In 2002, obtained her Diploma in Chinese Acupuncture  which can be used in conjunction with Physiotherapy.
Siobhan’s clinical interests ares are sports injuries, acupuncture and musculoskeletal pain
